POLARIS TROPHY SUMMARY

The Polaris Trophy ended last weekend with a super special by the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi. It was the best finishing touch to an adventure raid that led to the peculiar caravan formed by Polaris Ranger RZR 900, RZR 1000 and RZR Turbo for six exciting days and 1,100 kilometers around Erfoud (Morocco). The overall winner of this first edition has been the team My Storage, formed by Juan Navarro and his son Marc.

FIRST STAGE

On Monday the real competition started with a distance of 227 kilometers on fast tracks and 24 controls mandatory step. The conference allowed participants, mostly Spanish and inexperienced in competition, have their first contact with the sand, waiting to shoot early in the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi.

The team Yeste Racing de Terrassa (Barcelona) is clinched to the first absolute position and its category, with a score of 184.89. SECOND STAGE

Participants braved the Tuesday and Wednesday stages paths about 200 kilometers in a loop starting and finishing at the Hotel Xaluca. Both passed through a very varied course with spectacular river crossings and the fesh-fesh feared as the main obstacle, which was a tough test for pilots of these polyvalent side by sides. At the end of the complicated but fun stages 2 and 3, Antonio Yeste and his son Antonio, 15, managed to extend his lead in the overall and its junior section, with a total score of 636.45. In the other categories, the interim leaders are My Storage (Gold), Bruges Of The Dessert (Ladies), Red Chili Team (Mixed), Go Hard Team (Raid Alone) and Salles Team (Scratch only).
