Polaris Dominates the Score Baja 500: 9 of the Top 10 UTV Positions
A Race for the History Books
The Score Baja 500 is one of the most gruelling and prestigious off-road endurance races on the planet. Miles of desert, technical tracks, extreme heat and fierce competition among the world's best drivers and machines. In this edition, Polaris took everything.
Early favourites Brock and Cayden ran into trouble during the race, opening the door for an epic battle among the rest of the Polaris Factory Racing lineup. What followed was one of the most exciting finishes in recent memory: Sims, Wayne Matlock, Groom, Guthrie and González pushed each other to the absolute limit, fighting wheel to wheel all the way to the finish line.
It was Branden Sims who ultimately crossed the line first, taking the win in just his second race behind the wheel of the new Pro R Factory. An extraordinary performance that perfectly sums up what Polaris is capable of when its technology meets the real world.
Total Domination: 9 of the Top 10 Positions
But the individual victory is far from the most impressive stat of the day. Polaris took nine of the top ten UTV positions, with the Pro R Factory platform achieving a clean sweep of the top six spots. The first non-Polaris vehicle finished in tenth place. That's not winning a race. That's something else entirely.
